Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By placing an order with CoCouture Chocolates you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
CoCouture may, from time to time and at its sole discretion, revise these Terms and Conditions by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Terms and Conditions to which you are bound.
Upon receipt of your invoice and confirmation of your order details, please check all details are correct, including but not limited to, contact details, spelling of names, flavours, colours, delivery/ collection date, outstanding amounts, any special requests and cake dimensions (if applicable). Failure to notify us of any errors may result in additional charges where changes are required after your order has been completed.
Any changes to the original order are subject to viability and quote review. Changes within 14 days of pick up or delivery may attract an additional charge. We will endeavour to accommodate changes where possible but please be aware that this may not always be feasible.
The remaining balance (50%) is due 2 weeks prior to delivery/ pick up date. Any last minute orders (placed 2 weeks or less from delivery/pick up) require full payment at time of order. Failure to meet payment schedule and any payment reminders may lead to cancellation of your order.
NOTE: CoCouture Chocolates must receive “cleared funds” to release orders – please allow sufficient time for electronic transfers. This may be 48 hours or more.
Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your event date, delays between quote, acceptance and payment of deposit may result in dates becoming fully booked.
PICK-UP AND DELIVERY
CoCouture Chocolates will not be held liable for any damages that may occur after the product have been collected from our premise.
Cocouture Chocolates will not be held liable for any damage that may occur to the product after delivery has been made to the venue.
Please ensure your chosen venue has easy access for delivery, room at an appropriate temperature (air conditioning is ideal) and appropriately sized, level and sturdy.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
All order cancellations must be received by CoCouture Chocolates in writing. Cancellations with more than 7 days notice from delivery date will receive a refund of moneys deposited less a $50 administration fee and any moneys paid by CoCouture Chocolates to third parties for customised elements of your order. There will be no refund of moneys paid for orders cancelled within 7 days of delivery date.

Colours may not be a true representation due to lighting, photography and screen colours etc and therefore the finished product may appear a slightly different colour.
Due to the handmade nature of our products slight variations may occur.
Decorator items are unavailable from time to time and may need to be replaced by a similar item
Our products may contain traces of nuts, gluten and diary as they are made in an environment where these items are present and used.
Many of our cakes contain non edible items, please remove these before serving your cake. You will be made aware of these during pick up or delivery
All items attract a “hire fee” and a “security deposit”. The security deposit will be refunded upon the return of hired items. The security deposit will not be refunded if items are damaged (including but not limited to chips, cuts, scratches, cracks, broken, missing parts). All items must be returned by the specified date or a late fee will apply. Unless otherwise specified on your invoice the client is responsible for the return of all hire items by the due date. Collection by CoCouture Chocolates can be arranged for an additional fee if our schedule allows.
NOTE – do not place hire items in a dishwasher or use abrasive cleaner. Items are to be used only for their intended purpose.
All of our products are hand-crafted in small batches to ensure that they are always of the highest quality. As a result, there may be occasions where there is a 7-10 day lead-time, especially if you are ordering significant quantities. If this potential lead-time is of concern to you, please contact us to confirm that we are able to meet your requirements.
Due to the delicate nature of many of our products, it is not possible to provide a flat rate shipping fee across our entire range. As a result, the final shipping fee will be shown at checkout time. Please use the following shipping fees as an indication for our less delicate products:
ACT: $15 – $20
New South Wales: $13 – $20
Northern Territory: N/A
Queensland: $13 – $22
South Australia: $13 – $20
Tasmania: $13 – $20
Victoria: $13 – $16
*Note: Fees may also vary based on weight and package dimensions.
In the event that we are not able to successfully deliver one of our delicate products due to an incorrect address being provided or no one is available to accept the delivery, we will need to return the product(s) to our studio and contact you to arrange a subsequent delivery or give you the option to pick up your order from our studio. If CoCouture Chocolate was not responsible for the failed delivery attempt, a re-delivery fee may apply.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
CoCouture Chocolate goes to great lengths to source and to produce the very best products for our customers. Our reputation depends on it. However, we are dealing with a food product that is organic, fragile and can deteriorate with temperature. Therefore, on rare occasions our product may not meet expectations. In the case of sculptures and similar, if kept correctly, these can generally be expected to last and be edible for 3-6 months.
The best way to maintain the edibility of your CoCouture Chocolate is to keep them in a room where the temperature remains at less than 22’ and out of direct sunlight.
CoCouture Chocolate cannot exchange or refund goods due to the perishable nature of chocolate.
Goods Damaged on Delivery
CoCouture Chocolate will replace any order that has reached you that is not in optimal condition. Please ensure that your order is shipped to an address where someone is able to accept and sign for delivery during business hours. If nobody is available to accept and sign for the delivery, a card will be left by our courier with instructions on how to arrange for another delivery or pickup of your order from a local post office. Note, however, that although we discourage our couriers from leaving your order at your delivery address when no one is there to accept it, it is up to the discretion of the courier and thus out of our control unfortunately.
If your order is for a product(s) from our retail range, then we can only refund your order if it has not yet shipped. Once your order has left our studio we can no longer refund your order.
If your order is for a custom product(s), then the refund will be at our discretion based on the costs incurred prior to you notifying us that you would like to cancel your order.
